Manage File Requests

Managing requests for Non Electronic Files, File Parts and Boxes

Requests submitted from the Active Site or RecordPoint are all managed in RecordPoint. 

Prerequisite

Location and Assignee lists must be created to perform a file request. 

To view requested files, file parts and boxes

  1. In RecordPoint, navigate to the home screen
  2. From the dashboard under Requests, select File Requests
  3. This will direct to the File Browser area showing a list of all requested files, file parts and boxes
  4. To configure the columns shown in the File Browser view, refer to the article [insert]

To manage File requests

All file requests created from RecordPoint or the Active Site are centrally managed in RecordPoint, from here you can update the Request Status, Completion date or amend any details to the original request.

  1. In RecordPoint, navigate to the user menu and select My RecordPoint Settings
  2. Under My Records, select My Requests
    • By default, requests are displayed by login
    • To view all requests, change the view to All items
  1. Under My Records, select My Requests
  2. Select the request to manage
  3. Select Edit Item from the ribbon
  4. Manage the state of the file request by changing the Status field from Requested, to On Loan or Available when it’s returned
  5. From here, details of the request can also be updated
