Managing NAP Deletions
Managing NAP Deletions
The NAP deletion of files is currently unsupported. This includes all SharePoint lists that might be treated as files in RecordPoint such as Libraries, Documents Sets, etc.
The NAP deletion process allows Record Administrators to dispose of records without going through the full disposal process; effectively bypassing the classification and disposal date set by the rules.
The delete request processing infrastructure was designed for the deletion of incorrect records based on a few categories:
- Draft Document
- Duplicate
- Invalid Record
- No Business Value
- Other
These records can exist as either physical records (contained only in RecordPoint) or Electronic records (contained in an active site outside of RecordPoint).
In order to remain compliant in a NAP context, NAP deletes cannot be performed in bulk or through scripting.
