Promoting an electronic files to hybrid (electronic and physical) from the active site

In RecordPoint a hybrid file is defined as a physical file (record format) with electronic properties (content). In the active site, this promotion is hidden from view once the change has taken place.

To create a hybrid file from the Active Site:

  1. Select an electronic file/library
  2. From the RecordPoint tab, select Manage File
  3. From the ribbon, select Edit File
  4. From the Physical Content Type drop down, select Non Electronic File
  5. On the Edit File form, provide additional information about the Physical File being added (e.g Location, Title)
  6. Click Save
  7. In RecordPoint, go to File Browser. This electronic file has now taken on physical file properties and name change applied accordingly
