RecordPoint Content Databases
RecordPoint Content Databases
RecordPoint uses a minimum of three Content Databases – one for the RecordPoint Site and two for RecordPoint record content. The databases used for record content are part of RecordPoint’s storage sites, which are made up of a Records Center site collection and an associated database.
- The RecordPoint Site database stores things such as configuration settings, Rules, Patterns, and custom Content Types – no record content is stored here
- The RecordPoint storage sites contain metadata stubs or a copy of any document that has had its binary captured by RecordPoint. These storage sites hold up to one million items by default, consisting of 1000 lists holding 1000 items each, but this limit can be modified if required. RecordPoint will create a new storage site once this limit is reached. These sites can be found by navigating to your RecordPoint site > Management > Storage Settings.
