Appendix A – Configuration Template

Some of the features and configurations listed below are enabled as part of the standard RecordPoint deployment process. Use this template to specify custom values or manage default behaviour. Features and configurations marked with * have been customised specifically for this template and no longer uses the RecordPoint default.

RecordPoint Site Configuration Template Values

Features

1. Delete Request Processing Infrastructure
   This setting enables the infrastructure to perform RecordPoint deletions for records that fall outside of record retention requirements.
   RecordPoint will enable this feature by default.
2. RecordPoint Online
   By enabling this feature, a configuration entry is added to this site collection to store required settings for using RecordPoint Online cloud services.
3. Scanning Infrastructure
   This setting enables the infrastructure to perform RecordPoint non electronic records scanning actions.

Configuration

1. SecurityAccessEnabled
   Enables RecordPoint security settings used to govern records management processes.
   Default Value: TRUE
2. FolderMaximum
   This setting defines the maximum number of folders that can exist in a list within the RecordPoint storage layer. Once the set maximum is reached, RecordPoint will create a list in the storage layer.
   Default Value: 2
3. ItemMaximum
   This setting defines the maximum number of items that can exist in a folder within the RecordPoint storage layer. Once this set maximum is reached, RecordPoint will create a folder in the storage layer.
   Default Value: 500
4. ListMaximum
   This setting defines the maximum number of lists that can exist in a site collection within the RP storage layer. Once this set maximum is reached, RecordPoint will create a site collection and a database in the storage layer.
   Default Value: 1000
5. RecordNumberField
   If RecordPoint numbering is enabled, this field will be updated with a RecordPoint generated number.
   Otherwise, provide the field name from the Active Site used as the record number for records.
   Default Value: There is no default value
6. UseRecordPointNumbering
   This setting enables default record numbering. If this is disabled, the Record Number Field setting has to be enabled and defined.
   Default Value: TRUE
7. SearchResultProcessLimit
   This setting defines the maximum number of items returned in a search performed in RecordPoint.
   Default Value: 20000
8. SearchResultViewLimit
   This setting defines the maximum number of items processed per search in RecordPoint.
   Default Value: 300

Active Site Configuration Template Values

Features

1. RecordPoint Active Non Electronic File
   This setting enables the non-electronic file list and Web Part in the Active Site.
2. RecordPoint Active Record Finalise
   This setting enables the finalise feature in the Active Site.
3. RecordPoint Active Record PermaLink
   This setting enables the permalink creation feature for items in the Active Site.
4. RecordPoint Active Record Summary
   This setting enables the record metadata summary in the item menu.

Configuration

1. SecurityAccessEnabled
   Enables RecordPoint security settings used to govern records management processes.
   Default Value: The default value for this setting is TRUE
2. RibbonEnabled
   This setting enables the RecordPoint ribbon for the Active Site. To define this setting for specific document libraries, this can be done in RecordPoint settings within the site collection.
   Default Value: The default value for this setting is TRUE
3. AuditMaximum
   This setting defines the maximum number of audit entries returned for an item (record, file or box).
   Default Value: The default value for this setting 1000
4. SubmitMinorVersions
   This setting enables the submission of minor versions in RecordPoint. Please ensure that minor versioning is also enabled for this site collection.
   Default Value: The default value for this setting is FALSE
5. RecordPointSiteAAMUrls
   This setting is used to define the URLs used for RecordPoint.
6.  WebServiceSubmission
   Enables web service submissions for RecordPoint.
   Default Value: The default value for this setting is FALSE
