Importing Existing Content

FileConnect provides the ability to import any content created before the application is installed.

To import:

From the FileConnect application
Under the File System tab, click Import for the watched folder required
Click Process from the pop up view
Items will process with a status of submitted, content that has already been submitted to RecordPoint will not be processed.

This process can only be processed once per watched path. If the application has been stopped and content added during this period, the Import process can be applied again but will only submit content not previously submitted.

Capturing deletes

The prevention or capture of deletes for the File share content is currently unsupported. If preventing deletes is a desired functionality then setting NTFS security permissions on the files and folders needs to be considered.
