FileConnect Post Installation Checkpoints


Below is a list of components that should be checked to ensure the RecordPoint installation has been completed successfully.

Configured Services Account for RecordPoint Active File System

Log on details for an administrator account with read/write access to files managed by FileConnect


Windows Services > RecordPoint Active File System> Log on Tab

Configured Services Account for RecordPoint Active Processor

The account used should be a Local System account.


Windows Services> RecordPoint Active Processor> Log on Tab

RecordPoint URL configured

The correct RecordPoint site configured to manage file share content.


FileConnect Application > RecordPointTab> RecordPoint URL

Service URL for FileConnect

Should have a dedicated port.

Service URL is configured in FileConnect.

Online URL in RecordPoint is configured with the FileConnect Service URL.

FileConnect> RecordPoint Tab> Service URL


In RecordPoint> Management> Settings> Connectors> Check the Online URL is the same service URL for FileConnect


Secure Access TokenThe access token issued by RecordPoint.In RecordPoint> Management> Settings> General Settings> Check the Secure Access Token value.

Service has been started

For monitoring of managed folders and submission of content the FileConnect system should be started.

FileConnect Application > System Tab> System Status > Running

Check RecordPoint Submissions

To check for content being queued for processing, go to the Queue location.


  1. From the FileConnect application, select the System tab
  2. Under Location; browse to this queue location
    1. The Pre Process queue monitors for any changes in the managed folders
    2. The Post Process queue is used for submitting records
    3. The RecordPoint Process queue is used for other RecordPoint operations such as Finalise and Restore.
