The search option allows the searching of all RecordPoint content based on Metadata values. The search type (Record, File, Box) selected will determine the level of records returned within the search results. Advanced search allows the searching of records, files and boxes based on its contents and additional multiple criteria to improve searches.
In both the browse and search function, queries can be saved and reused.

How to search by record, file or box using properties

In RecordPoint:

  1. From the Navigation Panel
  2. Under Search, select Record, File or Box Search
  3. Under 'Find records that have ..." provide the Title and/or Record Number
  4. Or under 'Add search property..." select additional properties by using the drop down and then click add.
  5. This new property will now be added under 'Find records that have..."
  6. Populate field(s) and click Search
  7. If required, add additional properties

To Save this Query

  1. Select the RecordPoint tab from the Ribbon
  2. Click Save Query
  3. Provide a Title, Description and Category
  4. Click Save
