Installation Prerequisites (2013)
To support the installation process, please use the Installation Workbook for planning to ensure that you have accounted for all the Site Collections that RecordPoint would manage and all the User and Services account information required to complete installation.
RecordPoint for SharePoint Installation Workbook
It is recommended that a backup of your farm should be completed before you perform any installations or upgrade.
Software Requirements (minimum)
The following is a list of the minimum software requirements:
- Microsoft Server Operating System as specified in the SharePoint 2013 Installation Guide
- Microsoft SQL Server as specified in the SharePoint 2013 Installation Guide
- Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2013 Standard or Enterprise
.Net Framework 4.5.x
As part of the 4.0 Release, the .Net Framework 4.5.x is required. Please refer to the Microsoft .Net Framework download page for further details on downloads and installation.
Hardware Requirements (minimum)
The following is a list of the minimum hardware requirements:

Service Requirements
The following services must be pre-installed prior to installation:
- Managed Metadata Service
Search Service Application - As RecordPoint relies heavily on search, a dedicated search service application within the same farm is required.
The following user accounts are required for a full installation of the RecordPoint application. We recommend that you keep these for reference during the installation process. (This list is also included in the Installation Workbook for reference).

SharePoint Setup Administrator | The SharePoint Setup Administrator account is used to set up SharePoint Configuration Wizard, the initial Farm Creation Wizard, and Windows PowerShell. This account will also be used for the RecordPoint Deployment and Configuration. |
| SharePoint farm service | The SharePoint farm service account is used for the application pool identity for Central Administration. This account is also used for the SharePoint Foundation 2013 Timer service. |
| RecordPoint site collection administrator | The RecordPoint site collection administrator account is used as the primary site collection administrator for the RecordPoint site. |
| Active Site collection administrator | The Active Site collection administrator account is used as the primary site collection administrator for the Active Site. |
| The RecordPoint application pool | The RecordPoint application pool account is used for application pool identity for RecordPoint. |
| The Active Site application pool | The Active Site application pool account is used for application pool identity for the Active Site. |
