Are record numbers always unique - even on import?

If RecordPoint is set up correctly to generate the Record Numbers then yes they will be unique even when importing.

However, if a client chooses to generate the record number via another method, and pass this through to RecordPoint then it may not be unique. RecordPoint advises when importing records into RecordPoint that a validation check is performed prior to the import.

RecordPoint does not perform a validation on import to improve performance during migration.
